Today I’m happy to introduce you to Russ Ware, a community developer in Downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado Certified.
What lights Russ’ fire is creating experiences, whether they’re around community and people, or simply for an individual person experiencing something beautiful. It’s hopefully something that would enhance their lives and even enhance understanding their world.
In case you missed it, make sure to watch the making of this episode with Russ – Behind the scenes: Creating community through local food and craft coffee with Russ Ware.
Russ Ware is originally from Texas, but has lived in Colorado now for 7 years. He and his family live just two blocks from The Wild Goose Meeting House, in downtown Colorado Springs, the cafe that Russ founded with business partner Yemi Mobolade in November 2013. A professional church musician for 20 years, Russ brings the same passion for community, beauty and creativity to this new venture. After just 18 months, The Wild Goose has established itself as a primary connecting place in Colorado Springs for a variety of folks, including artists, creatives, students and professionals. Russ has always been drawn to spaces that invite community and stimulate connectivity, and this is the heartbeat behind The Wild Goose.
