EPISODE NOTES:
This week we’re back in Salida, CO to visit with Eric Candee, a mixed media artist from Salida Art District, Colorado Certified.
Eric wants to express the feelings that he has about what’s happening today with the environment through his artwork, through a symbolic language of natural elements – and other mixed media – combined to tell a story.
Do you strive to promote a certain emotion through your work? Please consider sharing your thoughts in the comments below!
ERIC’S BIO:
Peaceful, architectural and minimal are words often used to describe his work. Appreciation and awareness of the natural world has been the foundation for the abstract, symbolic and environmental work he has created for the past 16 years. It’s all about the layers! He hopes his art provides access for people to contemplate the importance of the relationship between society and the environment that sustains us.
