This week we’re with Louise Leise, a dance teacher in Downtown Longmont Creative District, Colorado Certified.

Louise believes that all of the emotions that exist can be expressed through dance. Dance is an expression of oneself, whether it’s for her or any of her dancers, it’s a way to express who they are.

In case you missed it, make sure to watch the making of this episode with Louise – Behind the scenes: Art and joy of learning to dance with Louise Leise.

LOUISE’S BIO

Louise (Ogata) Leise is a Colorado native, a Sansei (second generation, U. S.), born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. She majored in theater in college and started teaching for the City of Boulder’s dance program in 1979. She soon became the Dance Director and developed and increased the program enrollment four fold in the four years that she directed the program. In 1985, she and her husband established Dance Dimensions in Longmont, Colorado. Dance Dimensions has produced many dance professionals including both of her daughters, who both teach and choreograph nationally and now mentor and teach at Dance Dimensions. Louise’s family is blessed and honored by the thousands of children who have participated for the past 30 years in the Dance Dimensions’ experience.
