This week we return to Salida, CO to visit with P.T. Wood, a distiller from Salida Art District, Colorado Certified.

P.T. considers distilling to be a melding of art, science and alchemy – essentially sculpting flavors out of raw ingredients, and trying to repeat them time and time again.

P.T.’S BIO:

P.T. Wood grew up in Boulder, moved to Durango in the early 1980’s where he received his B.A. in Keg Tapping and Powder Skiing at Fort Lewis College. He moved to Salida to be a river guide in the early 1990’s where he developed his love for multi-day river trips and whiskey. P.T. is a self taught distiller with endless fascination for the art of transforming grain, water and yeast into whiskey.
