EPISODE NOTES:
This week we’re back in Ridgway, CO and I’m excited for you to meet Tom Hennessy, a craft brewer from Ridgway Creative District, Colorado Certified.
To Tom, brewing is like taking it down to the bare essence: it’s water, malted barley, hops and yeast. There’s a million variations, and that’s what intrigues him – how to combine those four ingredients, plus time and temperature, to create something that becomes his signature.
What are the ingredients that feed into what you create? Please consider sharing your thoughts in the comments below!
TOM’S BIO:
Tom Hennessy has been brewing beer commercially since 1993 when he shoe-horned brewing equipment into his small wood oven pizza restaurant in Albuquerque. He went on to open four more including a large production brewery and his current award winning Colorado Boy Brewery in Ridgway. In 1995 he produced a video on how to open inexpensive breweries called Frankenbrew, that has achieved a cult following and has written several books on business including The Brewery Operations Manual. He has helped open over 50 breweries to date.
